    Founded in 1993, Sicer began by developing products for ceramic decoration and has since evolved into a world leader in specialty coatings for high-end ceramic production, with a special focus on gres porcelain. Its product range spans frits, glazes, grits, and digital inks that transform clay surfaces into high-quality finished products.

    The company’s R&D department drives continuous innovation and aesthetic research, ensuring Sicer remains at the forefront of the industry.

As a recent example, the company has successfully developed a new series of low-emission inks to help its clients meet strict environmental standards during tile firing. The company’s commercial agility, customer focus and growing footprint at international level (from Italy, to India, United States of America, Mexico, Spain and Indonesia) have enabled it to expand worldwide. 


    Each local subsidiary operates its own research center, coordinated from Italy, ensuring rapid, consistent and effective customer service and product development.

    Since Ardian’s investment in March 2025, Sicer strategy has further developed with a focus on internationalization. Ardian has supported the company on several ESG initiatives, including securing a sustainability-linked loan, and has provided advanced data processing and analysis capabilities through its internal Data Science Center.
