Driving market consolidation and expansion

The Italian ophthalmology market remains highly fragmented, with many clinics still owned by individual practitioners. With Ardian’s support, Vista Vision is poised to accelerate its external growth strategy, consolidating the domestic market through targeted acquisitions and greenfield projects. The company’s ambition is clear: to double the number of clinics in Italy, also expanding into new regions, and to explore international opportunities.

In 2024, Vista Vision performed over 40,000 surgeries across Italy and Romania. Leveraging favorable macro trends such as an aging population and increasing demand for private ophthalmic care, the company aims to nearly double its annual surgeries to 75,000 by 2028. This ambitious target will be achieved through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
