Hydrogen is moving to the top of the agenda in energy policy and in company strategies across the world. An increasing number of countries have announced billions of public investment in hydrogen. However, many challenges need to be addressed to harvest the full potential of hydrogen at a world scale in a cost-effective manner. Strong international cooperation and partnerships are more critical than ever.

Amir Sharifi Managing Director, Energy transition lead
Amir Sharifi is Managing Director. In addition to investing activities, he is part of the Asset Management Team
Amir has been an active board member in number of portfolio companies in the energy space across France and the Nordics. He is in charge of coordinating Ardian’s renewable energy investment mandates globally.
Amir joined Ardian in 2007 as investment manager in the co-investment team where he was involved on large cap investments in telecom and energy sectors. He then became Head of Corporate Development and Communications of Ardian. He joined the Infrastructure Team in 2010. Prior to joining Ardian, he had worked for 5 years as a strategy consultant with a specialization on due diligence and utilities.
Amir is also founder and executive board member of the Ardian Foundation which he initiated in 2010.
