With the launch of Trustview Ardian, our online investor portal, LPs have gained much greater transparency, convenience and control over their portfolios.

Ardian has achieved a key milestone in its drive to digitalize with the launch of Trustview Ardian, an online investor portal that will allow more than 1,000 LPs to monitor their investments easily and securely.

The Trustview project, developed jointly by Ardian’s IT and Investor Relations teams, went live in 2020 and has attracted positive feedback from LPs, says Mathias Burghardt, Member of the Executive Committee in charge of technology development. “Trustview Ardian is an excellent example of how we are using digital technology to become more efficient and improve the service we deliver to our LPs.”

Customization and transparency

Trustview Ardian provides a single online dashboard, showing the performance of each investor’s portfolio spanning all Ardian activities, and allows investors to customize the reporting format to suit their needs. In addition, the portal displays each fund’s underlying holdings, holds all the documents relating to their investments, and allows LPs to export data to Excel so they can carry out their own analysis.

Digital onboarding and subscriptions

As well as the portal’s portfolio monitoring features, the project team has also delivered a fully digital onboarding tool that will enable future fund subscriptions to be carried out entirely online, including digital signatures. This will remove the need for investors to fill in lengthy paper subscription forms.

We can now offer all our investors a world-class, personalized digital experience. This is a huge step forward and will be vital in allowing us to continue providing outstanding service to our clients as we grow.

Digitalization brings efficiency gains

Delivering Ardian’s digital investment portal has been a key objective for the company in 2020, despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Ardian’s LP base is expanding very quickly and so Trustview Ardian is crucial in enabling us to continue providing excellent service as the company grows,” says Edouard Boscher, Chief Operating Officer of Investor Relations and Head of Sales for France.

Combining high-quality, digital tools with our traditional approach to customer service will allow our investor relations teams to work more efficiently and preserve the human touch while serving more LPs every year.

Cash flow projections – a world-first

Further functions will be added progressively to Trustview Ardian. “We became the first GP in the world to provide LPs with projected cash flows. This is a significant milestone for Trustview Ardian. We are now preparing to launch additional functionality for clients of Ardian Customized Solutions, says Vincent Joly, Head of IT.

Cash flow projections allow LPs to forecast future cash returns from their portfolio, as well as providing more notice of forthcoming cash calls than they currently receive. The intention is to give investors Ardian’s current vision on the lifecycle of the funds they have invested in.

Ardian has invested heavily in its IT systems over the past few years to support its strategy to digitalize and automate as many of its processes as possible – including important parts of its relationship with LPs, through the launch of Trustview Ardian.
