Ardian’s Mid Cap Buyout team identifies European companies that have excellent management and strong positions in high-value niche markets. It partners with them to accelerate the business’ growth rate and to expand its international reach through a combination of organic growth and targeted acquisitions. The team comprises 36 local investment professionals based in Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid and London.

North America Direct Buyouts is Ardian’s newest activity. Its launch in October 2016 marks a milestone in the company’s long-term plan to expand beyond Europe and create a bigger and more diverse presence in the US. The team’s will initially concentrate on lower mid-market industrial companies and business services providers that cater to industrial end-customers.
Ardian Expansion invests in lower Mid Cap companies based in France, Italy and the German-speaking countries of Europe. Ardian helps the managements of these companies, which already export a significant share of their sales, to expand further and faster into other European markets and beyond, using a buy-and-build approach. The 18-strong multi-local team is based in Paris, Frankfurt and Milan.

Ardian Growth partners with entrepreneurs running ambitious, profitable businesses and provides the financial support and outside expertise they need to seize growth opportunities in Europe and beyond. The team has particular expertise in digitally-enabled businesses and invests across Europe with a focus on France, Italy and Spain.

Ardian Private Debt provides flexible packages of debt finance for predominantly private equity-backed companies to fund both organic and acquisition-led growth and capital investment programs. The team, based in London, Paris.

Ardian Real Estate is now deploying its first fund through local investment teams based in Frankfurt, Milan and Paris. The Real Estate activity focuses on office buildings valued at €100m-plus in a small number of key cities across the three main Eurozone economies. It ultimately aims to invest in France, Germany and Italy according to each market size and potential, and to unlock additional value by targeted improvements and active asset management.
